In other words, do you like the way Julia Childs cooked? Some did and some didn't. No doubt about it though, she knew what she was doing. Wine and all. But never a cigarette after dinner.
If her husband never let her smoke, she probably just bummed one from a disc jockey at Radio Free Europe,where Paul Childs kept the flame of democracy bright for the US State Department after he left the OSS. But being the gourmand that she was, I'm sure she enjoyed every morsel she prepared, Leftovers probably went to the pigeons and moles out in the backyard. Voila! -dP
