How to Build a Democracy
In most respects, it has to be true, that the measure of a strong democracy, or democratic republic, is how large a percentage of the population owns it's own residence. The larger the figure, the stronger the republic. The reason: who takes more interest in their communities, their states, and hence there nation? Homeowners or non-homeowners? The answer is obvious. There is more of an interest in protecting your own property then someone else's. So when you think about protecting your property, think about protecting your rights. And when you think about protecting your rights, protecting your right to own property becomes the strongest reason to vote. -dP
